"This was our first beach vacation with our almost one-year old son. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was walking distance to three very important locations - the beach, the Acme, and Skipper Dipper! We also quickly fell into the routine of taking a morning walk to Jersey Girl for iced coffee. The rooms were clean and each of our guests reported that the beds were super comfy. I am a big cook and I loved the space of the kitchen. I brought my own knives and in the future, I might bring larger pots and pans. I had to make some things in batches when cooking for 8 adults. Also highly recommend Pinky's which is a short drive north for fresh seafood. One evening we drove up to Barnegat Light and took a sunset cruise on Miss Barnegat - $12/per person and BYOB. It's a minutes walk to the beach, the bay and the super market. For those with little children, Fantasy Island is a few minutes away by car and just two blocks away from Skipper Dipper....my new addiction! "We had an exceptional time. The house is lovely and is in a fabulous location. Within walking distance to ACME and the Skipper Dipper (more important than even the grocery store!). The upstairs tenants were great as well! This is extremely important as you don't want "neighbors" that maybe disruptive to your vacation. "This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have taken in many years. We have been vacationing at the Jersey shore for upwards of 35 years. The home was better than expected. My wife and I did visit on a cold, rainy day in April and the house was perfect. In September, upon arrival it was much better than we remembered. The house was fully appointed. Kitchen had more than enough utensils etc.. Bedrooms and beds comfortable and clean. The house was spotless. Felt like home. Location couldn't get better. A few steps to the beach for a beautiful sunrise and a short walk to the bay for picturesque sunset. More than enough parking. "I wanted to drop you a note before we left on Saturday. We had a great two weeks at your house and really enjoyed our stay. We've been coming to the island for many years and there were several things which set your place apart.
- the tile floors are a really nice touch, cool on your feet and easy to keep clean
- the front door lock, really makes it easy to leave for the day without worrying about losing keys
- central air, never had it here and we needed it this week when temps were in the 90's
- the open floor plan makes for a great living space
- well equipped kitchen, we enjoy cooking at home most nights
- the washer and dryer were really nice; especially the washer.
